The Stihl Brush Knife is a handy attachment when dealing with small woody brush. Brush will eat up a trimmer line, and often requires something a bit more durable. This is where the brush knife really shines.
Stihl Brush Knife & Supplies Needed
- Brush Knife
- 1/2″ socket wrench
- Special Stihl Lock washer
- Locking pin
- Cover and nut
First, remove the trimmer head by locking it and rotating the head in a counter-clockwise motion. Once the trimmer head as been removed you can then install the brush knife using the special lock washer.
The brush knife does a great job cutting small woody brush. It can also cut down small saplings up to 1″ in diameter. In this episode I clean out some underbrush down by my pond. It was basically re-growth from some scrub trees that I’ve cleaned out in prior years.
